抗战时期，山西某边区刘家皎村。村里有两个特殊人物，一个是凡事看黄历的二诸葛（赵子岳 饰），一个是装神弄鬼的三仙姑（周婷 饰）。二诸葛的儿子小二黑（杨建业 饰）是村里的民兵队长，三仙姑的女儿小琴（俞平 饰）是妇救会极积分子。两人青梅竹马，长大后相爱了。他俩的婚事遭到二诸葛的反对，他查过黄历，认为两人命相不合，好吃懒做的三仙姑则认为二黑家太穷，一心想给小琴找个有钱有势的人家。村主任金旺（葛存壮 饰）平日横行乡里，调戏小琴不成怀恨在心，设计陷害小琴和二黑。三仙姑则收了阎匪军官的彩礼，非要小琴嫁给匪军官，小琴宁死不从。区长（李百万 饰）了解内情后，惩治了作恶多端的金旺，批准二黑和小琴结婚...
