Zwei Kriegskameraden, die bei einem Sprengkommando arbeiten, das in der Lüneburger Heide mit Minenräumungen und der Entschärfung von Bombenblindgängern beschäftigt ist, streiten um dieselbe junge Frau, die mit einem der beiden verlobt ist. Ein Unglücksfall versöhnt sie wieder miteinander und bereinigt die Konflikte.
