Mit ihrer Band Union Youth und jugendlichem Übermut standen Maze Exler, Ole Fries, Michael Borwitzky und Markus Krieg Anfang dieses Jahrhunderts auf den größten Bühnen Deutschlands. Sie tourten mit Popmusik-Größen wie Bush, Die Ärzte und den Beatsteaks. Jetzt, fünfzehn Jahre älter, wollen sie es noch einmal unter dem Namen Pictures versuchen. Das Projekt wird jedoch gebremst von Drogen und Depressionen, von hohen Ansprüchen an das Leben und sich selbst.
