The film begins with a scene of the United States presidential election, 1920. In 1921, Roosevelt's Franklin D. Roosevelt's paralytic illness sets in. Later, he receives an invitation from George Foster Peabody to go to Warm Springs, Georgia for treatment. The film ends with Roosevelt attending the nominating convention of United States presidential election, 1928.
