Three years have passed since the adventures of Michele Silenzi, now sixteen. By now he lives alone: his adoptive mother Giovanna, in fact, died after the fall of her car after a telephone discussion about his academic performance; Stella - whose memory was erased by Andrey - remembers nothing of what happened in the submarine and got engaged to Brando, who made her believe she was her saviour.
