Armand Goldman is the openly gay owner of a Drag queen venue in South Beach called ''The Birdcage." Alongside his partner Albert, the two have made a life for themselves raising their now adult son Val. When Val announces his engagement to the daughter of an ultra-conservative U.S. Senator, it throws the house into chaos and no matter how hard the family tries to hide their flamboyant roots, the deeper they reveal their true selves.
