In late 1930s England, a chaotic and bloody Wars of the Roses ends with House of Lancaster King Henry VI of England and his son Edward of Westminster, Prince of Wales murdered by Field marshal (United Kingdom) Richard III of England of the rival faction supported by the House of York. Richard's elder brother Edward IV of England becomes King, while the Lancastrian heir, Henry VII of England, flees to France.
