Der im Exil lebende Journalist Paul kehrt in seine rumänische Heimat zurück als er erfährt, dass sein Jugendfreund Dominic während der Revolutionswirren verletzt wurde. Vor Ort erfährt er, dass sein Freund als Kriegsverbrecher gilt. Paul möchte die Wahrheit herausfinden und stößt auf eine Mauer des Schweigens.
