Rambo: First Blood Part II

Mentre è ai lavori forzati, John Rambo ottiene la libertà a condizione che torni in Vietnam per liberare gli ultimi prigionieri americani.

Rambo es excarcelado y enviado de vuelta al Vietnam con una nueva misión: averiguar el paradero de unos soldados norteamericanos desaparecidos. Tras saltar en paracaídas en la jungla, portando únicamente un cuchillo y un arco con flechas, se le dice que no ataque al enemigo y que sólo haga fotografías de reconocimiento. Pero el plan no saldrá como estaba previsto.

Rambo é libertado da prisão e enviado para o Vietname. Lá, a sua missão é localizar soldados americanos desaparecidos em combate. Armado com apenas uma faca e um arco de flechas, deve evitar o confronto com o inimigo, e tentar somente obter algumas fotografias de reconhecimento. Traído pelos seus, Rambo terá de sobreviver à traição e jura vingar-se.

Były komandos otrzymuje zadanie odnalezienia jeńców amerykańskich zaginionych w Wietnamie, przebywających w tym samym obozie, z którego udało mu się uciec. Rambo może odmówić udziału w misji, jednak wtedy najbliższe pięć lat będzie musiał spędzić w kamieniołomach. Jeśli wykona zadanie, prezydent daruje mu karę. Rambo podejmuje wyzwanie.

Three years into First Blood, former commando John Rambo is visited by his old commander, Sam Trautman. With the war in Vietnam over, the public has become increasingly concerned over news that a small group of US prisoner of war have been left in enemy custody. To placate their demands for action, the US government has authorized a solo infiltration mission to confirm the reports. As one of only three men suited for such work, Rambo agrees to undertake the operation in exchange for a pardon. He is taken to meet Marshall Murdock, a bureaucratic government official overseeing the operation. Rambo is temporarily reinstated into the US Army and instructed that he is only to photograph a possible camp and not to rescue any prisoners or engage enemy personnel, as they will be retrieved by a better equipped extraction team upon his return.

John Rambo está cumprindo pena em uma penitenciária federal quando recebe uma proposta: se participar de uma missão suicida (que consiste em localizar prisioneiros americanos) no sudeste asiático será perdoado e reintegrado ao exército. Ele concorda mas não imaginava que seria traído pelos compatriotas, que não querem de fato nenhuma prova de prisioneiros, pois isto acarretaria gastos de 2 bilhões de dólares para libertá-los. Com isso, Rambo acaba sendo abandonado pelos americanos em território inimigo.
