Struggling to stay afloat, the blissful newly-weds, Yorgos and Irini Strataki, are between a rock and a hard place. Even though they have already fallen behind on the monthly instalments for their house, Yorgos insists on refusing to let Irini find a job, preferring to swallow his pride and live temporarily with his mother-in-law, Marika. Under those circumstances and unable to put up with her husband's irrational decision, Irini secretly lands a job as a typist at the same car company where Yorgos works, knowing that, pretty soon, she will have to come face-to-face with him.
