Hopelessly poor but charming and elegant at the same time, handsome Kostas, or the "Prince", is the talk of the town in early-1950s Athens. Of course, no one knows what Kostas does for a living; nevertheless, he has loyal friends, and the girls in the neighbourhood vie for his attention. Then, suddenly, a brief fight at Andrea's tavern, and a superficial wound on the forehead, pave the way for an unexpected whirlwind romance with Titika, a beautiful but impecunious seamstress, and just like that, a breezy love is born. But, before long, the Prince will find himself neck-deep in trouble, as the arrival of the obnoxious nouveau-riche Greek-American, Xenophon Paralis, and his graceful daughter, Vera, drags Kostas into an innocent scheme, for the sake of Paralis' love-smitten personal assistant, Kleon. Now, Kostas has to pose as a refined nobleman of Byzantine descent, and somehow, resist Vera's romantic advances. Will Titika ever trust him again? —Nick Riganas
