Marié depuis 50 ans, avec 3 enfants, François découvre lors d'un vide-grenier une lettre révélant qu'Annie l'a secrètement trompé il y a 40 ans. Nous assistons alors à une "rébellion" de François, dont l'honneur est bafoué et l'ego profondément touché. Étant militaire auparavant, cela lui est tout simplement inacceptable.
