Community Sergeant ‘Taffy’ Tawharau has returned home to care for his ailing father. In addition to shuttling the local tamariki to kura and getting kaumātua to their medical check-ups, he must also contend with the rebellious but lovable teenager, Rusty who recently returned home from a correctional facility. When the Government launches an armed raid through the community, on a school day, Taffy's loyalty is tested.
