伝統が息づき、国内外から大勢の観光客が訪れる京都で生まれ育った赤田孝豊（高杉真宙）は、どこにでもいそうな高校2年生。将来への漠然とした不安を抱きつつ、思春期真っ盛りの同級生たちとの日常や、幼なじみのみこと（葵わかな）へのひそかな恋などを経験しながら、少しずつ成長していく。
