Liefje (Sweetheart) How reliable are memories? Liefje explores the boundary between reality and fantasies. In a therapy session, 18-year-old Esther reconstructs the murder of her father, which she has committed together with her friend Erik. Flashbacks show the facts. How the schoolgirl grows up between her parried parents, resisting the free sexual education of her mother and her father Robert despised after having fathered twins with a new, much younger, woman. To Erik, she tells about a vague memory in which her father would have sexually abused her. Despite the difference between the gaps from Esthers memory and the facts, the outraged Erik presents himself as her revenge angel.
