Lian cheng jue

　　武林名家梅念笙获得秘典「神照经」及可以成为天下第一巨富的「连城诀」，惹来徒儿万震山、言远平、戚长发追杀，梅遂将「神照经」及「连城诀」传给救其性命的丁典（白彪）。丁与知府凌退思（岳华）的女儿霜华（施思）相恋，凌为夺「神照经」及「连城诀」，将丁打下牢狱，要丁说出秘密。狄云（吴元俊）与师妹戚芳（廖丽玲）相恋，竟被陷害打下牢狱。死囚狱中，狄认识丁，更被传授「神照功」。凌为了要获得秘密，竟狠心对女儿下毒手，丁愤然与狄越狱，结果被毒死，而「连城诀」竟然在……

매념생은 천하제일의 무공비급 연성결을 갖고 있는 타사에 제자에게 살해당하여, 죽기직전 이 비밀을 망년지교인 정전에게 아라려준다. 매념생의 제자 척장발은 계교로 정전을 감옥에 넣고갖은 협박을 하나끝내 비밀을 알아내지 못하자, 자신의 제자 적운마저하옥시킨다. 정전은 감옥안에서 만난 적운과 의기투합하여 연성결의 비밀을 알려주고 눈을 감는다. 적운은 감옥에서 나와 유랑생활을 하다가 수생이라는 여인과 정이 든다. 이때 나타난 예전의 연인인 척장발의 딸척방 막 삼각관계가 된다. 척장발은 연성결의 비밀을 캐고자하나 적운은 결국 척장밭의 음모를 파헤치고, 척방은 적운을 구하기 위해 희생당한다. 적운은 악의 무리를 물리치고 수생과 더불어 행복한 삶을 누린다.
