Im Juni feiern die Letten ihr schönstes Fest – die Mitsommersonnenwende. Es ist der Höhepunkt im Alltag aller lettischen Familien. Auch in Kolka, einem kleinen Fischerdorf an der Ostseeküste, haben Dzeneta und Santa zu dieser Zeit alle Hände voll zu tun. Vor mehr als 50 Jahren wurden beide in Kolka geboren, dort, wo das Wasser der Ostsee auf die Rigaer Bucht trifft.
