戦闘民族ドルイドンの尖兵・クレオンは、自身の隠れ家として利用できる場所を探して辿り着いた洞窟の牢屋で、異世界犯罪集団ギャングラーの残党ガニマ・ノシアガルダを発見。クレオンは牢屋から抜け出せず苛立つガニマのマイナス感情に目を付け、グリフォンマイナソーを生み出す。 その頃、リュウソウジャーのコウはパートナー騎士竜のティラミーゴと水辺で戯れていたが、些細なことで喧嘩してしまう。その直後、ティラミーゴの悲鳴を聞いて駆けつけたコウは、クレオンの手引きで牢屋を抜け出したガニマによってティラミーゴが金庫に囚われるのを目撃する。更にティラミーゴ以外にも4体の騎士竜がガニマに囚われた事を知ったコウは、合流したメルト達と共に救出を試みるが、封印した騎士竜たちの力を操るガニマに苦戦を強いられ、コウは吹き飛ばされてしまう。 ガニマに吹き飛ばされ気を失ったコウは、「探偵」を名乗る青年・夜野魁利と対面する。一方、トワとバンバはグリフォンマイナソーの行方を追っていたが、リュウソウケンを持っているところを「不審者」と見なした国際警察の朝加圭一郎と陽川咲也に逮捕されてしまう。その頃、メルトとアスナはギャングラーと戦い続けていた高尾ノエルから、ガニマが騎士竜を閉じ込めている金庫を開ける方法を訊ねる。
