Des tueurs, à la solde d’un mari américain trompé, sont à la poursuite de Marc, l’amant. Celui-ci se réfugie sur la Côte d’Azur et est embauché comme chauffeur par Barbara, une riche Américaine. Il comprend bientôt qu’il n’a pas été choisi au hasard et se trouve plongé au cœur d’une sombre machination.
