May 14, 2018 marks the 70th anniversary of the independence of the State of Israel, proclaimed by David Ben-Gurion. Serge Moati, who has a special relationship with the country, meets women and men born around 1948, contemporaries, therefore, of the birth of the State of Israel. Women and men of all origins, very familiar with the history of this country which is also "their" history. They have experienced the hopes and disillusionments, the advances and setbacks, and also the wars of a country at the heart of world news. Their words are carried by archive images illustrating the significant events in the history of Israel as well as by personal sources.
