東京地検特捜部の検事である衣畑遼子は、不倫関係にある上司の田辺邦夫の子供を身ごもっていた。チャイニーズ・マフィアのボスである蔡文華の策略により、拘留中のマフィアの自殺を手伝うことになってしまった遼子は検察を退職、田辺とも別れシングルマザーとして生きることに。だが一人息子を、かつて自分が逮捕に協力した奈良本に誘拐され、遼子は蔡に救出を依頼した。息子は無事に戻り、遼子は蔡と家族になるのだった。
