Helba has prepared a special hot springs for the .hack characters so they could get some rest and relaxation. Kite, Elk, Tsukasa, Mimiru and many other characters from the series make an appearence in The World for this reward. There is only one small catch, Helba will not reveal the exact location of where the springs are located. It soon becomes a race between the cast of .hack//SIGN and the characters from the game to see who can find it first. However, this is a catch, while everyone is trying to find the springs, someone is going around killing the other charcaters. Who will make it to the springs first and who is behind the deaths of many of the other characters?
Orca wurde ermordet! Auf den ersten Blick scheint es so, als wäre Balmug, der als erstes am Tatort ankam, der Playerkiller gewesen. Kite, Blackrose, Tsukasa, Mimiru, Ginkan, Subaru und Grim, die mit der Zeit am Schauplatz des Verbrechens eintrudeln, beschuldigen ihn des Verbrechens, bis sie entdecken, dass Orca mit seinem Blut das Wort »Gift« vor seinem Tod geschrieben hat. Nun machen sich die verstellten Hauptcharaktere von .hack//SIGN und .Hack//Dusk auf die sinnlose Suche nach dem Mörder Orcas.
En gratitud a los héroes de .hack//SIGN y el .hack//Games, Helba ha preparado un evento especial para todos los personajes para encontrar la recién creada "Twilight Hot Springs".
Los personajes pueden conseguir su bien merecido descanso y relajación al tener un baño en las maravillosas aguas termales, pero sólo hay un problema - las aguas termales están ocultas y esta habiendo misteriosos asesinatos de jugadores. Con la única pista de la palabra "Gift (regalo)", la carrera ha empezado, para encontrar al culpable y la ubicación de los baños termales.
