Edward, Florence, and their family are on vacation, headed through the desert toward someplace to fish. Florence notices a filling station for sale and convinces Edward to spend his vacation money to buy it. That starts a series of hapless encounters with customers, including the local sheriff willing to pay a nickel to have his wiper blade replaced. Florence revels in the business's motto, "Service with a smile," but Edward would rather be fishing. Will he ever get his chance - and what about that smile? —<[email protected]>
