福井県の名勝、東尋坊で通りすがりの美女・彩子（名取裕子）と出会った“釣りバカ”コンビは、チヌ釣りを指南。楽しいひとときを過ごす。しかし、東京で一之助は歯科医の彩子と再会。彩子と抜け駆けのデートを楽しむため、一之助は伝助に嘘をつく。それに激怒した伝助は、断腸の思いで“断釣”し、一之助と絶交宣言！ “釣りバカ”コンビ、最大のピンチとなる。
