For the Love of a Child

In 1975, Jacob Fletcher (Matthew Knight) lives in fear of his abusive father. One day he calls a hotline for abused children and is quickly taken to a rehabilitation facility run by Childhelp USA. The story of Childhelp USA founders Sara O'Meara (Peri Gilpin) and Yvonne Fedderson (Teri Polo) unfolds through a series of flashbacks to the 1960s, when a trip to Japan inspires the rising entertainers to start a nonprofit foundation dedicated to helping abused children.
