Lorsque son père perd le goût du vin, Charlie Maréchal, œnologue parisien réputé, revient en Bourgogne pour tenter de sauver l’exploitation viticole de la faillite. D’abord réticent, Charlie doit rechausser ses bottes, remonter ses manches et devenir viticulteur. Entre une météo capricieuse et un cépage délicat, il va surtout devoir prouver à son père qu’il est digne de ce terroir transmis de génération en génération dans leur famille. Il est facile de noter un vin, mais comment fait‐on un grand vin ?

Winemaker son, Charlie Marshall left Burgundy to become a Parisian renowned winemaker, author of a successful guide whose notes are annually tremble vineyards. But in Côte-d'Or, his father lost the taste of wine and mistakes the family winery rush towards bankruptcy. At first reluctant, Charlie returns to Burgundy. It must his boots and shoes back up his sleeves and become winemaker confront a profession he does not know, under the skeptical gaze of his father. Between unpredictable weather and a delicate variety, Charlie will have to prove to his father that he is worthy of this land passed from generation to generation in their family. It is easy to note a wine, but how do we do a great wine?

A francia forradalom óta a Maréchal család kezében van az egyik legjobb burgundiai szőlőültetvény. Az utóbbi években azonban veszélybe került, mert a tulajnak, Francois-nak nincs érdekeltsége a bortermelésben. A fia, Charles, néhány éve Párizsba ment, ahol sikeres borkritikus lett. Most, hogy az apja a csőddel néz szembe, visszatér, hogy átvegye a családi vállalkozást.
