Lizzie and Peter can't have children. And when the whimsical Andie, Lizzie's best friend, gets pregnant after a night of drinking, she offers the couple to adopt their unborn baby. After much thought, Lizzie and Peter agree. In return, they have to accommodate Andie during her pregnancy. This is the moment that Peter's brother, a former drug addict coming out of rehab chooses, to resurface and seek hospitality from his elder brother.
