Alice Guy (1873 – 1968), était une réalisatrice de génie qui a su s’imposer dans un monde exclusivement masculin pour devenir la première femme cinéaste au monde. De la création des studios Gaumont à son passage par les Etats Unis, ce documentaire construit son portrait au fil de ses films les plus emblématiques de 1896 à 1919 et nous explique comment son nom est tombé dans l’oubli.
