Hyun Jae is an 18-year-old Korean-American girl living in New Mexico in 1994 with her immigrant parents. Her and a friend go out one night and she hits it off with a young fireman at a bar, who offers to give her a ride. Jae later notices his fireman badge is fake and attempts to escape but, is captured, bound, and transported in the trunk of another car.
