Cento anni dopo l'inizio dell'ultimo Torneo di arti marziali, Pan è ancora in vita, sebbene anziana, ed ha un nipote che è identico a Goku da bambino, chiamato Goku Jr. Questi però non è appassionato di arti marziali, non ha mai sfruttato le sue potenzialità e viene deriso da altri ragazzini. Quando Pan si ammala però decide di cercare la sfera del drago posseduta in passato dalla sua famiglia, così sperando di poter esprimere il desiderio di far guarire sua nonna. Intraprende quindi il viaggio affrontandolo come un bambino normale e timoroso, inconscio delle proprie potenzialità. Lungo la strada stringe amicizia con Pack, uno dei bambini che erano soliti prendersi gioco di lui e, senza rendersene conto, trovandosi attaccato da vari mostri, riesce quasi a trasformarsi in Super Saiyan.
El especial comienza con la derrota de Baby a manos de Super Saiyan 4 Goku. Luego, la escena avanza 100 años hacia el futuro. Todos los Z Fighters han fallecido por causas naturales, excepto Pan, que ahora es anciano. Tiene un tataranieto llamado Goku Jr., que se parece a su tatara-tatara-tatarabuelo Goku, pero carece del coraje y el espíritu de lucha de este último. The special starts off with Baby's defeat at Super Saiyan 4 Goku's hands. The scene then advances 100 years into the future. All of the Z Fighters have passed away of natural causes, except Pan, who is now elderly. She has a great-great grandson named Goku Jr., who resembles his great-great-great-great grandfather Goku, but lacks the latter's courage and fighting spirit. Pan takes Goku Jr. to the cemetery to pay their respects to her grandfather. She then tries to get him to train, but he has no confidence and skills in anything. At school, he is bullied by Puck, a senior classmate, and his gang, who take his favorite pen. Pan is angry that Goku didn't fight back and is so carefree. This causes her blood pressure to rise and she faints, and is hospitalized.
