Die Seniorin Lena Braake liebt ihr kleines Haus, doch ihre Bank hat es auf das Grundstück abgesehen, weswegen ein Kreditsachbearbeiter Lena eine neue Hypothek aufschwatzt. Schließlich fällt das Haus an die Bank, und Lena muss in ein Altersheim ziehen. Dort wirft der ehemalige Unternehmer Johann sofort ein Auge auf die traurige, alte Dame. Es gelingt ihm, Lena davon zu überzeugen, dass es an der Zeit ist, die Bank auszutricksen.
