Molly, the first of her friends to have a child, is struggling with her role as a new mom and her jealousy of her friends' careers. Her firefighter husband Brad recommends an online support community, where Molly finds temporary improvement after meeting Beth, another new mother who is raising her infant son Robert alone. Beth helps Molly out at her home but also works to drive a wedge between Molly and her old friends. One afternoon Beth drugs Molly at lunch and allows Molly to pass out, leaving her daughter Ava in the car. Her husband finds them and becomes distrustful of his wife after learning that she hid her diagnosis of postpartum depression from him.<br>
