Mitad documental, mitad fabricación cinematográfica llena de citas al cine clásico, "Coppola, un hombre y sus sueños" es un híbrido ideado para la televisión (su primera emisión fue en el Canal Plus español) que hace recuento de la carrera del cineasta Francis Ford Coppola hasta poco antes de cumplir 60 años. Lo hace además aventurando teorías sobre su trabajo con respecto al de Orson Welles y sobre su posible futuro.
