Tuli (Filipino for circumcise) is the story of Daisy's life in an isolated Philippine province. Daisy's father is responsible for the circumcision of almost all the males in town. Daisy's father is also a drunkard who abuses his wife and Daisy; this is making Daisy hate her father and all men. Her father forces her into an arranged marriage, but she doesn't want to marry the man her father chose for her. Meanwhile, Daisy's best friend is also suffering. Tradition in this isolated Philippine town dictates that Daisy must succeed her father as the town's official circumciser. must be the town's official circumciser.
