Canuto hace todo lo posible para no hacer el servicio militar, pero no lo consigue. Durante el tiempo que permanece en el Ejército se mete en cuanto problema aparece, incluyendo su relación con una banda de ladrones que han escondido un botín cerca del regimiento. Es una comedia para toda la familia, con el "visto bueno" del gobierno de facto de Guido, que había derrocado al presidente argentino Frondizi en 1962.
