Tras cometer un robo, una banda de atracadores trata de huir a Francia. Con el fin de evitar el control de la Guardia Civil, toman un camino cortado que los deja aislados en un pueblo casi desierto, que en pocas horas quedará inundado con motivo de la inauguración del pantano de Sau.
