American Waste takes us into the world of Joan and Miles as they navigate through their daily routine involving junkyard dogs, public access psychics, and metalhead neighbors. Joan works shifts at the local junkyard to afford the couple's prized sofa bed. In the midst of this seemingly never-ending cycle, Joan is inspired to sell her art in a town that will appreciate it for what it is. The couple struggles to figure out what their next move is and if they are really ready to move on from their friends and the deadbeat town that they've grown to love.
