A CRUSHING LOVE is Sylvia Morale's sequel to her 1979 documentary short "Chicana," tracing the history of Chicano and Mexican women throughout the ages. The sequel follows the lives of 5 notable Latina women and how they balanced their careers (ranging from social activism to education) with single motherhood, while still continuing to make an impact on the important social issues of their time. These are the stories of Dolores Huerta, Elizabeth "Betita" Martinez, Cherrie Moraga, Alicia Escalante and Martha Cotera.
