Ming Yu, a female martial arts instructor in search of a true master, has no choice but to dismiss Rufus, a rogue student. He goes on a drunken rampage and Polly, a language teacher and aspiring artist, ends up a victim. The experience shatters her self confidence and turns her into a hopeless wreck. Encouraged by a teenage girl, Kyra, she takes up kung fu, under Ming Yu, who herself hopes to become a student of legendary Wing Chun Grandmaster Wan Kam Leung. Polly's confidence returns, but a few self-defence techniques isn't enough. She wants payback. Unaware of the connection between her attacker and Ming Yu, she sets off to reclaim what was stolen from her.
