Africa in the 1800s captured the imagination of many throughout America with tales of a lost kingdom. Elim White's family, a doctor and his assistant went in search of that magical place, but instead found a brutal warrior village. Captured and sentenced to death by its king, they are temporarily saved by a mysterious white man named Burns, an American who has chosen to live among the natives. Acting quickly, Elim convinces their king to try them under European law. It's all he and Burns can do to save everyone as mysterious murders point towards an ancient prophecy, and perhaps their doom.
