A woman never has anything to wear, particularly if she is going anywhere out of the ordinary. This happens to be the case when Karl Schultz, a butcher, invites Susan, Mrs. Coster's maid, to attend a swell affair with him. Susan almost gives up in despair, when suddenly she is struck with a brilliant idea. Entering the parlor, her eyes light on the lampshade, which she utilizes, with a few artificial flowers from a vase as a very modish, mushroom hat. Karl is struck with pride and amazement as he beholds her finery, convinced that she will be the best dressed woman of the evening, and she is.
