Moe (萌え, Japanese pronunciation: [mo.e]), sometimes romanized as moé, is a Japanese word that refers to feelings of strong affection mainly towards characters in anime, manga, video games, and other media directed at the otaku market. Moe, however, has also gained usage to refer to feelings of affection towards any subject.
The Lion King franchise began with the 1994 animated film, focusing on Simba, a lion cub destined to become king after his father Mufasa. It chronicles Simba’s journey of growth, self-discovery, and reclaiming his kingdom from his uncle Scar. The franchise continued with sequels like "The Lion King II: Simba’s Pride" and spin-offs like "The Lion Guard." There’s also a Broadway musical and a 2019 CGI adaptation.
