The Munsters

1964

At 1313 Mockingbird Lane, Mockingbird Heights, lived one of America's strangest sitcom families, The Munsters. Strangest looking, that is, for beneath Herman's Frankensteinian facial features, Lily's vampiric visage, Grandpa's Dracula countenance and Eddie's Wolfman looks, lurked possibly the sweetest and most sensitive sitcom family ever to grace the small-screen. This, of course, was the nub of the series: that a family so weird could overcome the everyday problems of modern living - and the fact that people ran away from them, screaming - by their generosity, gentleness and belief in traditional American values.

Marineland Carnival: The Munsters Visit Marineland

1965

The Munsters take in the sights at Marineland.

Munster, Go Home!

1966

Herman Munster (Fred Gwynne) and his wife, Lily (Yvonne De Carlo) learn from Cavanaugh Munster's Will (law) that they have inherited an Manor house known as Munster Hall in Shroudshire, England, and that Herman has inherited the designation Lord of the Manor as "Lord Munster". The family boards the famous American transatlantic passenger ocean liner SS United States (in its last years) to England. Herman gets seasick, Marilyn (Debbie Watson (actor), replacing TV series original player Pat Priest (actress) in a controversial move) encounters a new love and suitor Roger Moresby (Robert Pine). Grandpa (Al Lewis (actor)) gets turned into a Gray wolf upon accidentally consuming a wolf pill. Grandpa has to be sneaked through British immigration and customs.

The Mini-Munsters

1973

The Mini-Munsters is an animated one-hour telefilm that was aired as part of The ABC Saturday Superstar Movie in 1973, and was based on the characters from The Munsters.

The Munsters' Revenge

1981

The film begins with the Munster family making a visit to the wax museum. They take a picture of themselves standing next to their wax replicas. When the family leaves, the statues in the museum (which are actually robots) mysteriously come to life and begin wreaking havoc across the city. Herman Munster and Grandpa (The Munsters) are then arrested for various crimes they did not commit and try to clear their names in time for the Halloween celebration at the Munster home.

The Munsters Today

1988

"The Munsters Today" was a remake of the classic 1960s TV series "The Munsters." A little known fact about this remake is that it was the first show ever to be completely recast and revived for an all-new series. The new show ran from 1988 to 1991, and it helped bring attention -- and new fans -- to the original Munsters show.

Here Come the Munsters

1995

The Munster family is tired of being persecuted back in Transylvania, and on finding part of a letter from cousin Marilyn in California, decides to head to the United States. On arrival they find that Marilyn's father, Normann Hyde, is missing, and her mother (Herman's sister) Elsa Hyde is in a coma. Marilyn details this in the letter but Spot burned the mail (and the letter carrier) so this comes as a surprise to the Munsters.

The Munsters' Scary Little Christmas

1996

The movie begins with son Eddie feeling homesick for Transylvania. Herman decides a "good old Transylvanian Christmas" is what his troubled son needs to get in the mood for the holidays. Together with the family - including Lily, Grandpa and Marilyn, he sends out invitations to the entire Munster family, including The Wolf Man (1941 film), Mummy, and the Gill-man. Herman also asks for a raise from his boss and is fired, taking on other jobs such as modeling nude for an art class, donating blood, and wrapping presents. Meanwhile on Christmas Eve's eve, one of Grandpa's experiments has gone awry, accidentally transporting Santa Claus and his elves to the Munster Mansion. Christmas faces ruin as there is no way to send Santa home, and the entire family must find a way to save Christmas. Meanwhile, Marilyn falls in love and Lily enters a home decorating contest, with nosy neighbour Edna Dimitty (from the previous Munster movie ''Here Come the Munsters'') causing trouble. Eddie also faces trouble at school from bullies.

Mockingbird Lane

2012

A reboot of ''The Munsters'', it was written and executive produced by Fuller as a one-hour drama with "spectacular visuals." The special concerns the day-to-day life of a family of benign monsters, with married couple Herman Munster (a Frankenstein's monster/zombie) and Lily Munster (a vampire). Lily's father, Grandpa is also a vampire who lives with the family and is feral. Herman and Lily have a son, Eddie, who learns in the course of the special that he is a werewolf, and their niece, Marylin, also lives with them. It explored the origins of the Munster family and was darker and edgier, while retaining plenty of humor.

Mockingbird Lane

2012

Grandpa Sam Dracula is essentially Dracula who assembled Herman because no man was good enough for his daughter Lily, a sexy vamp. Lily's niece Marilyn the freak is actually normal and Lily and Herman's only child, Eddie, has his werewolf tendencies surface in puberty, forcing the family to relocate to their famous 1313 Mockingbird Lane address.
