Kang Jae-kyung (Hyun Bin) is your typical rich kid. He is arrogant, drives sporty cars, attends the big clubs and rides through school corridors on his motorcycle. As his 18th birthday approaches, he is set to inherit his grandfather's fortune, but first Jae-kyung is required to transfer to a new school in Gangwon Province (South Korea) and graduate. Until then all access to his penthouse, cottage and credit cards are denied. Should he fail to graduate or drops out then he loses everything. If he wishes to give up, he will only receive 0.1% of his over-all inheritance. With this in mind, he heads out to the countryside, to a small town in which daily life is far removed from what he is used to.
Praveen Jaya Ramaraju aka P.J (Nani (actor)) is the grandson of a wealthy Zamindar Rudra Ramaraju (Nagineedu). PJ is a spoilt and an arrogant youngster. His grandfather writes a will with several conditions before he dies. His will states that PJ would inherit the entire wealth only if he completes his graduation as a common man without any luxuries. PJ now has to not only complete his graduate studies but he must do it within three years and he should study in a government college in a small village called Siripuram.

Özgür mirası alabilmek için vasiyetnamede yazan bir şartı yerine getirmek zorundadır. Buna göre İstanbul'dan Çanakkale'nin Adatepe köyüne taşınacak ve burada bir yıl geçirecektir. Özgür bu şartı yerine getirmezse mirasın yalnızca ufak bir kısmını alabilecek, geri kalan kısmı ise hayır kurumlarına bağışlanacaktır. Mirası hak ettiğini düşünen Özgür, Adatepe'ye gider ve kendini bekleyen yeni hayata böylece atılmış olur. Adatepe'de onu büyük sürprizler beklemektedir. En büyük sürpriz ise beklenmedik bir anda hayatına giren Elif olacaktır.
