Started out as a pirate radiostation in 1960 that aired until 1974. Got into the Dutch Public Broadcasters Program in 1976, and was part of this until 1995, when they conceived their own commercial network (in cooperation with RTL 4 and RTL 5). From 1995 until 2001, Veronica had their own channel as part of the Holland Media Group. In 2002-2003 Veronica left the HMG and aired programs on a channel via a Dutch affiliate of MTV/Viacom. In 2003 the channel was bought by SBS Broadcasting, where it has been airing programs to this day.

Begonnen als Piratenzender in 1960, kwam het als Publieke Omroep aan land in 1976. Zond tot 1995 uit in het Publieke Bestel, zond daarna van 1995 tot en met 2001 uit op een eigen commerciële zender (als onderdeel van de Holland Media Groep, bestaande uit RTL 4, RTL 5 en Veronica). In 2002-2003 zond Veronica uit op een zender via MTV/Viacom, en in 2003 werd de zender ondergebracht bij SBS Broadcasting waar het tot op de dag van vandaag onder uitzendt.
