The main plot of the novel revolves around Yun Li's love for Fu Shi Ze, describing how she still mustered up the courage to approach and attract Fu Shi Ze despite feeling uncomfortable in social situations. Despite their large age gap, Yun Li has always remained enthusiastic and loyal to him. However, after Fu Shi Ze experienced a series of changes in his life, his personality underwent a huge change, and he became more introverted and closed.
This caused the relationship between the two to reach a deadlock until Yun Li chose to leave, giving Fu Shi Ze time to reflect on himself and grow.
