In ten programs, NRK offers nostalgic and entertaining flashbacks to the years 1980 to 1989, a decade that largely helped shape Norwegians' identities. In each program we meet three people who in different ways made their mark on the current year. "Back to" offers clips from NRK's rich archive and also new interviews, and we visit everything from TV entertainment and children's TV, sports and music, to major domestic political and international events. Among the people we meet in the series are Jon Skolmen who sheds light on the year 191, Helge Jordal who had a smash hit with the feature film "Orion's belt" in 1985 and Erik Solheim who in 1987 made his entrance into the Norwegian public in a tight sweater when he was chosen as SV -manager.
