Season 2014

Season 2015

  • S2015E01 Lil' Automation Project

    • March 1, 2015

Built this about 10 years ago. It came back a few years after that for new rubber bands and shrink wrap tubing :) when I took this video of it in operation. I only recently found it (this morning).. was a fun project, thought I'd share it. All pneumatic, no electronics -- and pretty low-budget! Uses 3 air cylinders, one valve (5/2?), and air limit switches. And rubber bands, of course!

  • S2015E02 DIY Tig Pedal - Part 2

    • May 21, 2015

  • S2015E03 Fixed Gantry CNC Router Build Part 1

    • November 9, 2015

Just like the title says, Part 1 (of 2?) of my Fixed Gantry CNC Router. Part 1 shows the basic building blocks coming together through to the frame construction. • S2015E04 Fixed Gantry CNC Router Build Part 2

    • November 26, 2015

Part 2 (of 3!) of the CNC router build. Hit a snag with the table that's set me back a bit. CAD is coming once I get the table figured out and the model updated. Enjoy!

  • S2016E06 Shoot'n The Poop #2 - Import Vise VA4

    • February 10, 2016

  • S2016E07 Shoot'n The Poop #3 - Variety Show

    • February 13, 2016

A little mash-up this time around: I share my thoughts on tungsten electrodes for TIG welding at home (we even get to measuring the radioactivity of Thoriated tungsten!), my thoughts on Insert Tooling in the home shop, and my first try at dressing a resin bonded diamond wheel (mixed results).

  • S2016E13 Horizontal Milling - Building the Overarm Support

    • May 15, 2016

Finally got around to building the overarm support for the Schaublin 13. The cutter you see at the end is 5/8" wide, 18T, ~3" OD. Cut is 5/8" (16mm) x 0.4" deep (10mm). ~60 RPM @ 0.5 IPM. I was scared. ----------------------------------------------------- Cryptic Sorrow - Atlantean Twilight by Kevin MacLeod is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution license (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/) Source: http://incompetech.com/music/royalty-free/index.html?isrc=USUAN1100276 Artist: http://incompetech.com/
