黒づくめの服に黄色のジャケットを羽織った独特な雰囲気を持つ謎の男・犬頭光太郎（いぬがしら・こうたろう）。不動産会社に勤務するＯＬで、心霊物件など不可思議な現象に関するクレームを扱う部署に勤務する若宮恵美子（わかみや・えみこ）の前に風のように現れては雷のように事件を解決し、風のように消えていきますが、その正体は不明。うさんくさい見た目と雰囲気を醸し出していますが、抜群に頭が切れ、人並み外れた記憶力と天才的な推理力を生かして、物件に隠された謎を見事に解決していきます。心霊現象などはまるで信じておらず、どんなことが起きても動じず、面白がってしまう。その一方で、気が短く、すぐに手や足が出てしまう一面も。本当か嘘か「吾輩は犬である」などと冗談めかし、ミステリアスなそぶりを見せる犬頭を、恵美子は「犬の化身なのではないか」と勘繰るが…。犬頭は一体何者なのか。なぜ、突然、恵美子の前に現れるようになったのか――。
