The government has decided to request a specialized organization to deal with this situation. The Laboratory of Optics and Neural Analysis, commonly known as "LONA." Researcher Ao and her apprentice Sango will try to get to the bottom of the mystery by analyzing the brains of the dead.

Dans un futur proche, l’humanité est confrontée à un mystérieux phénomène : des individus pourtant décédés semblent revenir à la vie pour attaquer les vivants. Face à cette menace, le gouvernement fait appel au LONA, le Laboratoire d’optique et d’analyse neuronale, une organisation spécialisée dans l’étude du cerveau.
Ao, chercheuse au sein du laboratoire, et Sango, son apprentie, sont chargées de percer ce mystère en analysant les cerveaux des morts. À travers les souvenirs gravés dans leurs circuits neuronaux, elles tentent de découvrir ce que ces personnes ont vu avant de mourir, mais aussi ce qu’elles ont laissé derrière elles…
